Montebello Tooth Replacement Dentist

Four ways to fill the gap

A gap you have lived with long enough

Maybe a molar came out years ago and you chew on the other side, or a bridge has started to rock. Tooth replacement fills that space with an implant, a bridge, a denture, or a full-arch restoration, each with its own trade-offs in cost, surgery, and longevity.

For missing teeth replacement, Montebello patients have four realistic options. At Whittier Palm Dental, all four are planned from a 3D scan and placed in the same office.

What happens when a tooth stays missing

A missing tooth keeps changing your mouth.

  • Bone loss: without a root to stimulate it, the jawbone under the gap starts shrinking within the first year.
  • Shifting teeth: neighbors tilt into the space and the opposing tooth drifts down, which changes your bite.
  • Uneven chewing: favoring one side overworks those teeth and that jaw joint.

Your four options side by side

Single implant or implant bridge

A titanium post replaces the root and a crown replaces the tooth; two or more implants can carry a bridge across a longer gap. Implants preserve bone and leave the neighbors untouched, and we place them through a 3D-printed surgical guide, never freehand.

Best when: you are missing one tooth or a few and want the longest-lasting fix.

Traditional bridge

A bridge suspends a false tooth between crowns cemented on the teeth on either side. No surgery, but the anchor teeth must be shaped down and the bone under the gap keeps shrinking.

Best when: the neighboring teeth already need crowns, or surgery is off the table.

Partial or complete denture

A partial clips to your remaining teeth; a complete denture replaces a whole arch. We design and 3D print digital dentures in-office, and implants can later anchor a snap-in version.

Best when: cost has to lead, many teeth are missing, or you want something removable.

Full-arch implants

When most of the teeth on an arch are failing, four to six implants can hold one fixed bridge for the whole row. It is the most involved option and the closest to natural teeth.

Best when: an arch is mostly gone and you want teeth that never come out.

Which option is right for you?

The answer comes from a scan, not a sales pitch. Dr. Winslow, a Credentialed Member and Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, uses a 3D CBCT scan to measure bone under the gap and intraoral scans to map your bite.

You leave with a plan and a cost for each option that fits. The consultation is not free; it is the planning visit itself.

How much does replacing a missing tooth cost?

For missing teeth replacement, Montebello prices vary by option, so you receive a written breakdown after the scan. We accept all PPO plans, our in-house Kleer membership plan discounts treatment for a yearly fee, and Cherry and Sunbit financing spread payments monthly.

Can I wait to replace a missing tooth?

You can, but bone shrinks, and neighbors shift, so an implant that is straightforward today may need grafting in a few years.

L

Am I a candidate for an implant?

Most healthy adults are, including many told they lack bone, because bone grafting and sinus lifts are done in-office. Gum disease is treated first, and smoking slows healing.

How long does each option take?

A bridge or partial takes two to three visits over a few weeks. A single implant runs about three to six months from placement to final crown.

Does insurance cover tooth replacement?

Most PPO plans contribute toward bridges and dentures and often toward the implant crown, less often toward the implant itself.
